Because they’re not regularly doused with pesticides and herbicides due to their hardiness, they also manage to produce quite a bit more in regard to yield than Arabica trees.
If you like a good, strong, hearty flavor in your coffee, you likely prefer Robusta. Robusta coffee is a little more acidic than Arabica coffee and has more caffeine. You might be interested to know that Robusta coffee beans are often utilized to boost the flavors of weaker tasting coffees.
Most supermarkets today contain only a varied amount of Arabica and Robusta coffees. If you go online, you’ll find better resources for Robusta coffee, as supermarkets tend to stock preferred consumer choices. With the overwhelming number of coffee drinkers preferring Arabica, you may not even be able to find Robusta coffee at your local market. Give them both to try.
